We’re excited to announce we’ve joined Ontario Hockey Association as the Ontario Elite Hockey League, under the OHA’s Sr. AA banner. 10 former WOAA teams joining are Creemore Coyotes, Durham Thundercats, Lucknow Lancers, Milverton 4 Wheel Drives, Minto 81's, Ripley Wolves, Saugeen Shores Winterhawks, Seaforth Centenaires, Shelburne Muskies & Tavistock Royals. In addition, expansion teams have been granted to Georgian Bay Applekings (Thornbury) & Erin Outlaws Hockey Club.
We want to be perfectly clear - there was absolutely no ill will or dissatisfaction with the WOAA. They nurtured and supported senior hockey for 80 years. We owe a great debt to that fine organization. This move is strictly to ensure our league can thrive into the future. Our “inaugural” season opens October 6th!Full details:
